    Early Life and Education

    Sarah Gadon was born in Toronto, Ontario, to a psychologist father and a teacher mother.

    Her family has English and Italian heritage. As a child, Gadon pursued ballet at the National Ballet School of Canada and later studied acting at the Claude Watson School for the Arts. She graduated from Vaughan Road Academy in 2005 and completed a degree in film studies from the University of Toronto's Innis College in 2014.
